Ferrari aim victory for Italian GP – Alonso

Sept.06 – Dual time world champion Fernando Alonso says Italian F1 squad Ferrari will repeat his 2010 success this year. Last year Alonso wins the race and set fastest lap for the Ferrari’s home race and his team-mate Felipe Massa finished third on the podium.

“Monza is a very special race for all drivers: it is the fastest circuit in the Championship and driving here gives you extraordinary feelings,” he told the press. “It is also very special for emotional reasons, especially if you drive for Ferrari, as I experienced for the time last year. Winning at Monza is incredible and winning there driving a red car is even more incredible. Being on the podium and seeing thousands of fans below you wearing red shirts and waving red flags is overwhelming. Our aim this year is the same as last year: to win the race. He said.

“We know we have the potential to reach our goal, but we also know that our opponents are very strong. I am sure that we will have a very exciting race, as we have seen many times so far this season already.”
