Our pace was better than in qualifying – Massa

The Brazilian Felipe Massa said delighted with his team most recent upgrades and better race and qualifying pace, Massa and his team-mate Alonso safely finished at Silverstone last weekend.

“In the last few races our pace in the race was better than in qualifying, while in Silverstone we were quick in both situations,” Massa thought through an official online talk with fans, just a few days after helping the Maranello-based outfit record its biggest points haul of the season so far.

“In qualifying, I finished third in Q1 with the Hard tyres and that shows that the car is very competitive. I am sure this improvement will stand us in good stead for the second half of the season.”

The Brazilian now sixth in the overall championship standings, 125 points at the back leader Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.
