Webber top in wet practice session in Valencia

July.08 – Red Bull’s driver Mark Webber went best in a very wet morning practice session for British GP. The Australian’s best of 1m46.603s. On the wet condition, but, things did not seem to change much, as Webber kept Red Bull ahead of its challenger once again.

Mercedes GP’s Michael Schumacher on second and the Brazilian Rubens Barrichello posted the third fastest time for Williams, with Sauber’s Sergio Perez finishing a promising session by finishing as fourth quickest. Ferrari’s Massa was the quickest in the top five. The Spaniard Alonso, using Ferrari’s new rear wing, spun without consequence during his first timed run. And he was done seventh fastest, and the 2008 world champion Lewis Hamilton taking 8th on the first practice time-sheet for this weekend British GP.
