Button call amazing win and best of his F1 career

June.12 – 2009 world champion Jenson Button has explain the win he attained through this afternoon’s Canadian GP as one of the best of his F1 career, with the McLaren driver being forced to fight back through the field following making get in touch with with team-mate Hamilton and Ferrari challenger Alonso, as well having to bounce back following receive a drive-through penalty for speeding at the back the Safety Car.

“I really don’t know what to say, it’s been a very emotional three hours, or however long it’s been since the start,” Button explained during the post-race press conference.

“Obviously the incident with Lewis, I couldn’t see anything when he was alongside me. I couldn’t see anything in my mirrors, it was one of those things and I’ve apologised to him. From then on it was really a fight, I got a drive-through for speeding behind the Safety Car and then I had to find my way through about three times.

“Eventually on the last lap I was chasing down Seb (Sebastian Vettel), he ran a little bit wide onto the wet part of the circuit and I was able to take the opportunity and take the win. For me, it was a fantastic race and I think even if I hadn’t won today I would have enjoyed this race immensely. But yeah, amazing win and possibly my best.”
