June.10 – The Force India F1 driver Paul di Resta acknowledges that he one day expect to driver for Mercedes GP. The Scottish speedy having driven Mercedes cars in F3 and in the DTM touring car series he feels a great deal of gratitude towards the manufacturer.
“Six years ago Mercedes put a tremendous amount of effort into me and my Formula Three career,” said Di Resta. I’ve the utmost respect for them because without that opportunity I would not be where I am.
The 25-year-old reveals that he would jump at the chance to race for them in the future but for now is focused on doing the best he can with Force India.
“I had six good years with them, developed a good friendship and a close relationship with them,” he explained. I’m here at Force India on my own merits from what I’ve delivered.
“But for the future, Mercedes is a huge manufacturer and one I hope to drive with. But let’s concentrate on the job I’ve got here, and that is the year I’ve signed with Force India and to do the best job for them,” he added.
