Alonso claim Red Bull still pole favourites

June.10 – The Canadian GP second practice top speedy Fernando Alonso still said that Red Bull Racing are still the team to beat in Montreal. Following crashing in the morning practice session, the championship leader handle second place to the Ferrari this afternoon.

“It’s always nice to see yourself in the first four or five positions, but today isn’t really important,” Alonso emphasised after second practice. “We were quickest in practice on Monaco and then Vettel was almost a second faster than us in qualifying, so Red Bull are as strong as usual and remain the favourites. But, Alonso is keen to find out how forecasted showers will affect proceedings in Quebec. “It’s supposed to rain tomorrow, and on Sunday, so today was just a practice because everything could change,” added the winner of 2006.
