Hamilton grabbed Montreal pole from Red Bull racing

Lewis Hamilton will start Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix from pole position after a powerful performance through a frantic qualifying session in Montreal. Hamilton strike Mark Webber by two-tenths of a second. Webber’s team mate Sebastian Vettel was third, ahead of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, McLaren’s Jenson Button and Force India’s Vitantonio Liuzzi. “It’s been a great day, a great start to the weekend,” Lewis said in the post-qualifying press conference. “So many memories came back when they told me on the radio that I had pole position – it just reminded me of my first Grand Prix win and pole position back in 2007.”
