F1 Rumour – This grand prix weekends will be the last in Turkey?

The Rumours continues that this race weekend’s race will be the final in Turkey. Since the Istanbul Park circuit hosted its first race in 2005 season, the layout – elements the now famous Turn 8 – has received extensive commend. However viewers numbers have been noticeably low. “It’s a huge market in Turkey. Ultimately they will get themselves sorted out,” F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone said earlier this year.

Other than the German newspaper Die Welt now information’s that the track, managed by Ecclestone, is too far from the city and on the wrong side of the Bosphorus strait, causing long and frustrating rides from hotels through thick traffic.

“The rumours are receiving louder that the fastest circus in the world will no longer make the journey to Istanbul,”
