Ferrari Team Boss Stefano Domenicali: Alonso can beat Michael Schumacher in this Season

Published

on

Stefano Domenicali has told that he is sure Alonso will be talented to get the better of Michael Schumacher in F1 2010.Michael won five of his 7 drivers’ titles with Ferrari – the last in 2004 – but the German has at present opted for a new challenge having inked a contract with Mercedes F1, which will see him make his return this year.

Fernando Alonso defeat Schumacher to the title in 2005 and 2006 and Stefano Domenicali believes that the Spaniard can defeat him once more in 2010.Let’s not not remember Fernando is the only driver on the track who in his profession has beaten Schumi, Domenicali said during a press meeting at the Scuderia’s pre-season extravaganza held in Madonna di Campiglio.

Alonso has everything to defeat him. Schumacher’s choice to leave Ferrari has not gone down well with the tifosi, the Scuderia’s dedicated fans, but Domenicali is strong-minded to use it as a positive to inspire his troops that small piece more. Furthermore, he believes that Massa  will be clever to get the better of Schumacher as well.

Certainly, it is right not to forget that what has happened has left its mark. Now we have to turn the page, Domenicali added. He sure to accept this challenge so I think that he is influenced that he has the opportunity to succeed, confirming the assurance we had in him after Felipe Massa’s accident.
